Use the grid below with your reading glasses at normal reading distance. Cover one eye.
1. First, if you wear corrective lenses, make sure you are wearing them before you take the test.
2. Cover one eye
3. Position the chart 14 inches away from your eye.
4. Stare at the dot in the center. You may notice that the straight lines in the pattern appear wavy to you or that some of the lines are missing
5. Repeat this exercise with your other eye covered
If the lines look irregular (blured, wavy, empty or discolored), contact Carteret Vision Center.
